Capcom USA/Europe's New President

Video game developer and publisher Capcom has an outstanding legacy in gaming's history. These are the people behind series like MegaMan, Street Fighter, and Devil May Cry (just to name a few). In hopes of continuing their legacy of greatness, Capcom has elected Kazuhiko Abe as president of their USA and European divisions.

Abe joined the Capcom family in 2003 as their General Manager of Management Planning and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Capcom Japan in 2006. As President of Capcom USA and Capcom Europe, Abe will be responsible for overseeing operations between the two offices to ensure efficient international operations.

“Abe-san has proven to be an invaluable asset to Capcom,” said Kenzo Tsujimoto, chairman and chief executive officer of Capcom Co., Ltd. “His experience of over seven years with Capcom can only benefit the operations in North America and Europe and strengthen the relationships between the Japanese and Pan-Western territories.”

In video game land Capcom is kind of a big deal and for them to have so much faith in Abe is, well, a big deal. So here's to hoping Abe can bring Capcom to the top of their game!

Kenka Bancho, Memoirs of a Bancho 1

With a name like Kenka Bancho: Bad Ass Rumble, it's hard not to get excited about a game. But for those not easily sold on testosterone infused titles, Atlus is shelling out some reading material about its over the top PSP Brawler.

Today is a good day for racing sim fans as it marks the release of Gran Turismo for the PSP. And with Sony's shift towards all digital gaming (looking at you PSP Go), it only makes sense that Sony starts offering digital incentives.

After months of Ghostbusters getting the Wii, DS, Xbox, PS2 and PS3 treatment, finally the game has been announced for a PSP release. If you haven't busted ghosts yet, PSP owners, now is your chance. The game is set for release this November.

GamesCom 2009: Sony press conference upon us!

At 12:30pm Eastern time, Sony will take the stage to give their keynote. More than ever, the announcement of a PS3 Slim has gamers and journalists waiting in excitement. What will it lok like? What will it offer?

Additionally, a PS3 price cut is expected to be announced. It's also possible Sony will talk more in depth about their upcoming motion sensing plans. Only time will tell.

Xbox 360 users are getting a trifecta of Capcom bliss next month, but the publisher is by no means shunning the PS3 crowd. In fact, the Capcom blog recently announced that ten classic Capcom titles will be hitting the PSN. The list o' awesome titles includes:

Club PlayStation on the Horizon?

US Nintendo fans begged to receive the Club Nintendo love that many other countries enjoyed, and their prayers were heard. And while Club Nintendo USA may not be thrilling gamers with its prizes, competitor Sony is looking to start up an incentives program of its own.

All this hubbub comes from a Sony filed patent for a service called "P.S. Thanks." A description from the patent page describes the service as an, "incentive rewards program geared toward quantifying, identifying and motivating top consumer base with the goal of promotion and sale of video game hardware and software."

Nyko to debut new Wii, Xbox, PSP and DS peripherals at GamesCon

Type Pad Pro for Wii:
