We knew this day would come since the Wii started a slugging sales trend in Japan. Nintendo has announced that a brand new glossy black Wii will hit Japan this August. Additionally, Japan will receive a red DSi this July.If you remember, before Wii release November of 2006, a promo video for the console featured a black, green, silver and red Wii, getting us uber excited. However, because of the massive success of the console, Nintendo has had no reason to release these colors.
Likely, when Wii sales slow in US and Europe, a black console may come stateside.
