Project Natal is Microsoft's (just announced) answer to the Wii Remote. How do you one-up motion controls? By eliminating the controllers.
Project Natal will scan your body for full facial recognition, as well as your body for full body movements to be used in video games. You can use your hands to flip through pages of your dashboard, and use your voice to control menus and games.
You'll use your hands on an imaginary steering wheel to turn your way through a driving game's course, or jump up and down while doing aerobics, all while your on screen character perfectly mimics your movements at a 1:1 ratio.
Project Natal will also be able to detect who is using your console at that moment. Simply turn your console on, and they'll automatically log you in. You can also scan images such as a skateboard, and use your own skateboard in the video game. Lots more features will be unveiled as promised by Microsoft.
