Another Week without Virtual Console = tears for everyone

After two weeks of no Virtual Console titles, we started to wonder... what the deuce? Well apparently Nintendo isn't just accidentally leaving off Virtual Console titles from their weekly Nintendo Shop offerings. WiiWare titles are actually more popular. Here's an answer from a NoA rep, who responded with some bad news for us retro gamers:

"We understand your concern about the lack of service on the VC as of late. Due to sales numbers being far greater recently on Wiiware than on Virtual Console, we have decided to steer in the direction of WiiWare.

Also, we in America have NO plans to update the Internet Channel or the Nintendo Channel. We hope you understand.”

Isn't that a bit disappointing? I guess if it's not worth it financially to even bring the titles weekly, it can't possibly be worth expecting those always unlucky VC titles like Goldeneye or Duck Tales.
