MTV Games has announced that Green Day will bring their tracks exclusively to Rock Band. The first selection of tracks will be from their new album 21st Century Breakdown, and will release as downloadable content in a three pack of songs on July 7th, consisting of "East Jesus Nowhere," "Know Your Enemy" and "21 Guns."(*Warning: Mutual ass kissing below:)
“Green Day not only rock hard, but are also epic storytellers,” said Van Toffler, President, MTV Networks.
"We are excited to be working with MTV and Harmonix,” said Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong. “They are leaders and visionaries in the world of music and video games, and Rock Band is a really cool way for fans of all ages to experience our music.”
Much more of Green Day's catalogue will become available, with specifics to be released soon.
