Netflix likely coming to more consoles... eventually

Netflix has listed an opening for a Gaming Programmer to join their team. The online video rental service has primarily focused their attention on delivering movies via snail mail but lately have they've excelled with their streaming service that allows viewing access for anyone with a computer. Their Xbox Live support has also expanded this year, allowing gamers to watch thousands of movies and TV shows on demand.

The job opening is for "The Gaming Platforms team member" which will work in a "newly [formed] group responsible for prototyping, testing and building the Netflix experience for gaming consoles. Over the last ten years, Netflix has developed the world’s best personalization and movie finding technology – this team’s challenge is to bring it to gaming consoles and create a fantastic experience used every day by our growing subscriber base of over 10 million customers." It appears that either the company is planning on building further the Xbox streaming interface, or they're adding support to PS3 and Wii sooner than later.

If you are looking to apply, do so here! Then make sure to spill the beans as to what Netflix's plans are!
