Ghostbusters: delayed again?!

In a bizarre move that could only happen in the gaming industry, the PS3 and PS2 versions of Ghostbusters: The Video Game will now be published by Sony in all PAL territories. A PSP version will also release sometime later in the year.

Originally Atari was publishing all versions of the game, the PS3, PS2, Xbox360 and PC versions being developed by Terminal Reality while the PS2 and Wii version by Red Fly Studios. Sony apparently maneuvered an "11th hour deal" giving them the rights over Atari.

Here's the bad part...

The PS3 and PS2 versions will release June 19th. But what about the other versions of the game? Well unfortunately that's not being announced at this time, giving a to be released "later in the year" excuse.

Don't forget, this game was supposed to release in the fall of 2008, so we may hit the 1 year mark with this one.

UPDATE: In an official press release from Atari, it appears the Xbox360, PC, Wii and DS versions of the game will be pushed back to fall, in Europe. HOWEVER, Atari has confirmed their plans to launch the game on all consoles June 16 in the U.S., thank Jebus.
