Despite the lack of sales for recent Wii titles (like Excitebots measly 13,000 copies sold) April proved promising for Wii as the little bugger took the number 2 spot. Number one was no surprise, reserved for the DSi which just launched. The DS also took the number 3 spot for its previous versions. Xbox360 took 4th place, which was slightly down from last April.PlayStation 2 took a big leap, moving 50% due to the system's price cut which occurred April 1st. PS3 however placed sixth for the month, giving it the worst NPD sales for the past 18 months.
It's highly speculated that among Sony's big announcements, E3 will also bring some price cut announcements, one of the only proven methods to move stock. Either that or a new console color?
