The Conduit: So Good meets So Bad
I have been absolutely loving The Conduit's Wi-Fi multiplayer. It really does remind me of a Goldeneye type FPS experience. But the biggest problem? Out of the 10 times I have played, 6 of them have been glitched.
First, it takes a long time for players to join you in the waiting room of your online match. Wi-Fi experiences on Mario Kart Wii and even Super Smash Bros. Brawl are much faster. But the biggest problem I've been having, is that when the match starts, my character is completely unable to move. I'm usually stuck staring at a wall like someone from The Blair Witch Project. And whenever this happens, there is no way to get out of it other than to turn the system off. Most recently, the match started and I was stuck staring at the sky, in a 20 minute match. No choice but to turn off the console.
I know sometimes glitches happen, but like I said, out of the 10 times I've played, this has happened 6 of those times. In addition, last night when I attempted to play, after I was killed my character woke up on the floor unable to move. I'm not sure why this is happening but I hope it can be fixed sooner than later. The Conduit is offering the best FPS multiplayer experience on Wii, but these issues are slowly making it a hassle to see if it will work each time.
I hoped on YouTube and apparently, I'm not alone. The video above is from someone who shares the same issue.
