Dethklok Gets Brutal on PS3/360

Hot off the presses from our friends at The Wall-Street Journal (they seem friendly) comes news that uber death metal band Dethklok are receiving the video game treatment.

Dethklok, made famous by their Adult Swim show Metalocalypse, are in cahoots with Konami to publish a PS3/360 downloadable title featuring their likeness and music. While the band has been featured in Guitar Hero, this new Dethklok game sounds more like an action/beat 'em up outing.

The aptly title "Metalocalypse: Dethgame" is being supervised by show creator, Brendon Small. "The first idea was we make the band merciless and murderous but that doesn't work on the show," says Small. "Our show is really about five narcissistic super-celebrities who can't open the door the door by themselves."

Powers that be indicate that Small will be making more announcements regarding Dethklok's transition to the video game realm this week at Comic-Con.
