Nintendo Points Third Parties Towards Apps

Nintendo has been compared to Apple for years, in terms of a business who's popularity and mainstream appeal is due in large part to a clean user interface mixed with a friendly design. It appears that Nintendo is going to be taking a page out of Apple's book of success, focusing on
their App Store.

Nintendo has apparently been pushing third party developers to set their sights on not only focusing on games for the DSiWare service, but apps. The company sees the digital download market as a great avenue for companies releasing the same type of great, inventive and diverse applications that can appeal to a wide range of DSi owners.

While Nintendo has their calculator app, i'm curious to see what other first party apps we can expect from the big N.
