Clayfighter Virtual Console Bound

While films like Toy Story changed the face of animation across the media landscape, the 90s were also home to a grassroots level claymation revival.  Standout of the clay revolution include PC's The Neverhood and SNES's Clayfighter.

The latter of which has been rated by the ESRB for a Virtual Console release.

With characters like Ickybod Clay, Blue Suede Goo and Bad Mr. Frosty, Clayfighter stood apart from the Street Fighters and Mortal Kombats of its time.  Combine the whimsical characters with clay-pun fueled combat and you're left with something that the 12 year old me thought was, "Awesome."

But will 24 year old me feel the same?  We'll find out when Clayfighter hits the Virtual Console.
