Fable III is almost certainly coming out, but probably not as soon as some people think. At Tuesday night's BAFTAs (sort of like the Oscars, only British, inclusive of video games, and with slightly less Joan Rivers), British TV personality Jonathan Ross mentioned something about doing a voiceover for Fable III in his Twitter feed. Since the game hadn't been officially announced, this was news.
He later retracted the statement, and Microsoft issued a reply stating that work hasn't yet begun on Fable III. They also said that Ross hasn't been signed to work on Fable, though they also went out of their way to mention upcoming downloadable content, so it's a fair guess to assume Ross might be involved with that in some way. On a related note, Stephen Fry also mentioned doing some recent voiceover work on his Twitter feed. He didn't mention Fable by name, but he was a voice in Fable II, so I'm just going to run with the baseless assumption that he's also working on upcoming DLC. Why not?
Meanwhile, developer Lionhead has officially confirmed that more Fable II DLC is coming soon, which is fairly obvious by now. They also noted that to date, Fable II has sold 2.6 million copies. In other words, they're all rich.
