Duck Hunt's Dead

As technology progresses, it can be fun to go back and play a retro title just to see how it holds up. A lot of the games I loved as a kid are just as fun now, as they were then. However, Duck Hunt doesn't stand the test of time.

It's not that Duck Hunt is a bad game by any means, but did you know that the game can't be played on any LCD, plasma or projection TV?

The NES Zapper just can't accurately shoot on anything but an old CRT TV. Why this saddens me most is that I, like many of you, have upgraded my TV's to LCD, DLP and Plasma. My poor 15" CRT TV sits in a closet somewhere, ready to be donated.

As technology has made things great for the world of gaming, it is sad that the memory of Duck Hunt will soon fade. My only hope is that a remake using the Wii Remote or Wii Zapper is in the works, including the original game.

Otherwise, the duck is dead.
