Street Fighter IV Joystick Issues

Apparently Mad Catz's recent claims of wanting to make quality gaming accessories, was meant for sometime in the future.

Multiple reports have surfaced of gamers complaining that the Mad Catz Standard Edition Fighting Stick joysticks are "clinging." Others complained about broken buttons.

Despite voiding his warranty, one Street Fighter enthusiast took apart his joystick and found what he believes to be the problem. "...a small metal washer [between] the body of the joystick and spring cap...moves around and the plastic spring cap gets stuck on the grooves where the washer is supposed to sit." Luckily with the help of superglue and sandpaper, the problem was fixed.

Probably not the easiest way to fix it, and considering the hefty price tag on these bad boys, you shouldn't have to. Hopefully Mad Catz will issue a statement soon about a replacement option.
