Seems like I'm not the only one who spent most of 2008 with two hands firmly gripping my Wii wheel in a battle for first place.The Market for Computer and Video Games has claimed that Mario Kart Wii was the #1 selling game in 2008, globally. The title sold an astounding 8.94 million units.
Other best sellers were Wii Fit at 8.31 million units, Grand Theft Auto 4 with 7.29 million and Super Smash Bros. Brawl with 6.32 million.
Although fourth quarter was a disappointment for any big first-party releases on Wii, 2008 as a whole was again dominated by Nintendo.
