Well, Halo There

The first bit of Fable II downloadable content, Knothole Island, was birthed onto Xbox Live just yesterday, and already people are spoiling all the secrets. Truth be told, there don't seem to be many secrets to spoil. I haven't got around to playing through Knothole Island myself (my copy of Fable II is currently on loan), but the consensus seems to be that it's shorter than Dustin Hoffman and not quite worth the $10 asking price.

But if you bought the collector's edition of Fable II and can't get enough of your suspiciously Master Chief-looking freebie armor, you might be interested to know that Knothole Island will finally let you complete your Halo cosplay in Albion. At a new store called the Box of Secrets, you can trade in items for mystery prizes. Turns out trading pure experience points can snag you a gun called Hal's Rifle that looks an awful lot like Halo's standard assault rifle. Plus, it's got an augment slot just in case you want it to shoot fire or something.

Now if only you could play Fable II while wearing a headset and having your eardrums burst from the screams of racist 12-year-olds, the faux-Halo experience would be complete.
