Xbox 360 Goes Gold

Since the days of the original Legend of Zelda on NES, it's been a well-known fact that gamers love gold things. Whether it's cartridges, Play n' Watch LCD wrist devices, or Mr. T's wardrobe, we go nuts for anything painted to look like the precious metal. With that in mind, Microsoft will be giving away solid gold (painted) Xbox 360s to a lucky chosen few. Interested? Of course you are.

Here's whatcha do: Buy yourself a new Xbox 360 Pro or Elite console between January 15th and February 15th. Then, all you have to do is write an essay about why you love your new Xbox so much. Try and work in something about how the Wii is for babies and the Playstation 3 only appeals to Japanese otaku. That'll get you in their good graces. Whatever you do, don't talk about how hot you think Melinda Gates is. Yes, she is hot, but Bill is a jealous man.

One more important rule: You have to live in Hong Kong. So there's that. But can you really afford not to move to China, buy a new game console, fire up your word processor, and maybe win a gold colored version of the very same game console you just bought? I think not.
